It is with the utmost pride that I create these flag boxes.   Each box is made from solid Oak or the wood(s) of your choice.  Every board is hand selected to ensure the best possible wood available.  When choosing wood, I do not just purchase pieces that seem to match.  I guarantee a match by using only one board for each box.  Yes, that means every grain will match and every stain will be perfectly matched.  I hand lacquer each box with a minimum of two coats of poly-urethane.   Being conscious of the environment I use no sprays but hand brush each piece.   In addition to the color and grain match, I ensure solid construction by doweling every mitered corner of the box.  The back of the box is genuine hardboard covered with Royal Blue felt.  Each accruement is painstakingly glued onto the backing using the latest hot glues available.  This ensures a positive mending to the felt backing while not damaging the item being place into the box.  The glass front of the box is really glass.  While many good plastics are available I like the clarity and non-yellowing properties of glass.  This does make the box more fragile than others so I make it easy to replace the glass in event of an unfortunate accident.  Two screws on the base of the frame provide access to insert a new piece of glass without total disassembly of the box.

I feel this box is well thought out, functional and easy to display in any room.  It provides a history and exemplifies the person it was made for.  Never in my experience of tributes to the members of our armed forces have I seen a more elegant and humble display of an individuals accomplishments.
